Stumbled across this picture on the web of three strangers helping a man in New York City. There is kindness all around us.

new yorkers get such a bad rap. most of us are actually really nice and polite. i think most out of towners hear the horror stories of how mean or indifferent new yorkers can be. it's so fast paced here and sometimes you are programmed to get from point A to point B but we do try and help out. personally, i will always try and help tourists with directions or any questions that they may have. the reason being because when i am in foreign country, i hope that help would be reciprocated. i will say that in europe or asia everyone is always so helpful and courteous.
Ello is short for Ellen Oh. Transplanted from Brooklyn, NY, I'm a lawyer, a writer, and a college instructor now living near the nations capital. I have three smart, beautiful little girls and an ultra-supportive husband who tells me to write every day so that maybe, one day, I'll actually get a book published. I'm repped by the amazing Joe Monti of Barry Goldblatt Literary. And what do you know, Da Man was right! My first book, Prophecy,Prophecy Series Bk 1, is being published by HarperTeen for release in Winter 2013! Life is very good.

Hey Syl! You know it's true! New Yorkers are not as bad as they are made out to be. I'll leave it to you to bring me the stories about New Yorkers!
